It was a lame attempt at a joke. However, every bone in his body felt like it had been shattered, even though he had cast a cushioning charm to absorb most of the impact. Loki groaned, barely seeing the snowy sky above or hear the crunch of footsteps. He did, however, sense someone nearby. Believing it to be a THREAT, he reached out and shot a ball of green energy in the direction of the sound.
sonja is not a naive woman, nor is she foolish enough to simply leave the security of her safe house. however, one can only remain inside so long before becoming restless, or even fearful, at the loud collision that takes place just a few yards away from where she is. so when she steps out onto grass and dirt, sonja is cautious and careful to stay out of sight, but when whatever has fallen stands up, she knows there is something beyond her understanding at work.
she’ll jump out of the way just in time as the ball of green flies at her, eyes a bright blue in response as they settle on the MAN no standing not too far away.

— [ SHIPPING ]: i ship sonja & CHEMISTRY. i will say that i have a particular soft spot for lucians, though ( bc lbr that ship is beautiful ). i play sonja as STRAIGHT, but given the beautiful sexuality of this series and the vampires, pre-lucian sonja may be more willing to engage in intimate scenarios with men or women.

( takes place any time before / during the beginning of 'rise of the lycans' ). sonja is an elite death dealer, protecting her coven from williams' pets. as part of the council, along with the elder viktor ( her father ), her place in the coven is among the highest ranking. she feels little for the werewolves she kills, but does not despise the lycans that so dutifully watch over them in the daylight hours.
( takes place in the midst of 'rise of the lycans' ). the love between sonja and lucian must be kept a secret, thus the vampire is forced to pretend it does not exist when around her own kind. however, she truly hopes the best for her lover, trying to help him find freedom in any subtle way she can. though hardly subtle, a union of the bloodlines is what sonja hopes will bring the species together.
( takes place towards the end of / after 'rise of the lycans' ). sonja's love for lucian has been exposed, viktor disapproving of it entirely. her pregnancy has also been revealed, for which her father condemns her to death. following the events of the movie, however, sonja survives and manages to go into hiding. read biography for further information.
your name is sonja, and you're the daughter of the grand elder, viktor. your mother died in childbirth, but your father adored you. you're trained to become a death dealer, a warrior built to slaughter the werewolves that dare threaten your home and coven. it's an easy life, all things considered, and you love what you do.

you fall in love with a lycan; his name is lucian. your father adored him, too, but in a different way than he did with you. your father claims to love the man as his own son, but you know it is not true. still, you fall in love with lucian, but it must be kept hidden. it's easy at first, though pretending to despise him, to care so little for his well being, hurts. you both know it's for the best, but it gets harder when your lover is sent away; cast out. condemned.

you plan on running away with lucian, but your father learns of the forbidden love before you're able to. he locks you in your room, telling you he'll deal with the lycan on his own. you're fearful, of course, but there is still hope. you have people that can help you escape without being noticed, or so you think. it's upon escaping that you're opposed by your own kind, fought nearly to the death by those you trained alongside. in the end, however, you're faced with your father. he does not hold back in fighting you, but you hold out hope still. you're pregnant, a union of the bloodlines, you tell him, but your father is disgusted. he sentences you to death, forcing your lover to watch as you take your last breaths.

you die, you know you do, burned at the stake. but you aren't really dead... you wake up disoriented outside the coven walls, tossed out like trash. yet you don't mind, though you aren't sure how long it's been since your lover watched you pass before his very eyes. you run away, trying desperately to remain hidden in this world; and you succeed. centuries pass, no one learns of your continued existence, and you think it's for the best. stories still reach you, though, stories about a hybrid, the death of your lover, the corvinus bloodline, and a child. you decide it's time to come out of hiding. you have nothing left to lose, but much to gain, and you only hope for the best; there will always be hope.
( my explanation for sonja's survival comes back to the corvinus strain, as do many of the stories in the series. marcus is the one that saved viktor, and i imagine blood was shared between the two at one point or another to quicken healing or to simply strengthen. because sonja is viktor's daughter, the blood was passed on to her. she died, yes, but the corvinus blood has worked many miracles, and sonja was no exception. she does not know this, however, and if asked how she's alive she will have no answer ).
